Municipal Archaeological Museum and Tourist Office of Baza

It offers motor and technological accessibility, surrounded by impressive mountain ranges of over 2000 metres, ideal for exploring unique landscapes.

Baza is located in a high plateau/depression, known since ancient times as La Hoya de Baza, with a high average altitude above sea level, around 1000 metres at its edges, which gives it a markedly continental climate, surrounded by an imposing mountain belt with a series of mountain ranges that exceed 2000 metres in altitude in many cases, such as the Sierra de Baza, La Sagra, Cazorla, Orce and María or Las Estancias; hence the classic name of "hoya", a clear allusion to the great amphitheatre that forms the "flat" bottom of the depression, almost completely enclosed by these mountain ranges. The office has motor and technological accessibility.
